Description
Delicious homemade berry turnovers filled with mixed berries and wrapped in a flaky pastry.
Ingredients

- 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 egg
- 1 package rough puff pastry
- Flour (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the mixed berries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a mixing bowl.
- Roll out the rough puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the pastry into squares measuring around 6×6 inches.
- Spoon a generous amount of the berry mixture into the center of each pastry square.
- Dot the filling with small pieces of butter.
- Seal the turnover by folding the pastry over and pressing the edges to secure.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
