Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 head of lettuce (romaine or butter lettuce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Crumble the ground beef into the skillet and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the diced bell pepper, grated carrot, and chopped green onions. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  5. Drizzle in the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  6. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  7. Spoon the beef mixture into the cleaned lettuce leaves and serve immediately.
