- 2 pounds boneless and skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- ¼ cup coconut aminos or soy sauce
- ¼ cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Zest from half an orange
Instructions
- Whisk together the coconut aminos (or soy sauce), orange juice, honey, ginger, salt, garlic powder, and orange zest in a bowl.
- Place the chicken in a resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over the top. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and let the excess drip off. Discard the marinade.
- Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through (the internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a different flavor, try pineapple juice instead of orange juice or add diced jalapeños to the marinade.
