- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 egg whites
- 1 ¼ to 1 ¾ cup grape soda
- 1 box grape Jell-O
- Food coloring (optional)
- Cupcake liners
- 2 sticks softened salted butter (for frosting)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon half-and-half or milk
- 2 tablespoons grape soda (for frosting)
- Extra grape Jell-O (optional)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Piping bag and tip

- Purple sanding sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and place cupcake liners into your cupcake pan.
- Combine the egg whites, grape soda, and vegetable oil in a mixing bowl. Mix on medium until thoroughly combined.
- Fold in the white cake mix gradually until the batter is smooth and all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Add about 1/2 to 3/4 of the grape Jell-O and a few drops of food coloring if you desire a brighter hue. Mix well, adjusting the Jell-O amount to your taste.
- Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
Notes
For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature before mixing. Customize flavors with different soda or Jell-O.
