Description

Delightful macarons infused with the colorful flavors of Fruity Pebbles cereal, combining nostalgia with sophistication.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Fruity Pebbles cereal for garnish
  • Buttercream or filling of choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar in a bowl.
  3. Beat the egg whites until foamy and add the cream of tartar; continue beating until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add the granulated sugar while beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold in the almond flour mixture and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Pipe small rounds of the macaron batter onto the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Let the piped macarons sit for about 30 minutes until they form a skin.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until they easily lift off the parchment paper.
  9. Cool completely before filling with your choice of filling and sprinkle with Fruity Pebbles.

Notes

Store macarons in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the fridge for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to a month.
