Description

An impressive dish featuring flaky puff pastry enveloping seasoned salmon and a creamy spinach filling, perfect for any special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drizzle some olive oil in a skillet and heat it over medium.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the fresh spinach and cook until it wilts, stirring occasionally.
  5. Off the heat, mix in the cream cheese, seasoning it with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to your desired thickness.
  7. Lay a salmon fillet on one half of the puff pastry. Spoon the creamy spinach mixture generously on top.
  8. Carefully fold the other half of the pastry over the salmon and seal the edges well.
  9. Brush the top of the pastry with the beaten egg.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
  11. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing; serve and enjoy!
