Description
A cozy and comforting burrata grilled cheese sandwich that elevates the classic with creamy burrata and crispy bread.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices of bread (your choice; sourdough or ciabatta work beautifully)
- 1 ball of burrata cheese
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt, coating the bottom of the pan.
- Place one slice of your chosen bread in the skillet. On top, add the burrata cheese, gently breaking it up to ensure even distribution.
- Season with salt and pepper for added flavor, then top with the second slice of bread.
- Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown—around 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwich to the other side.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet now that the sandwich is flipped.
- Continue cooking until both sides are golden brown and the cheese has melted—approximately another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and savor the gooey goodness!
Notes
Best served with a fresh arugula salad or a side of tomato soup.
