Description

Deliciously filling black bean burgers that are easy to make and perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
  • Buns and toppings (like lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Mash the black beans in a large bowl with a fork until smooth but slightly chunky.
  2. Mix in the breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into burger patties, about four depending on size.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until glistening.
  5. Carefully place the patties in the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until crispy and heated through.
  6. Serve the patties on buns topped with your favorite fixings.

Notes

Store leftover patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Cooked patties can also be reheated in a skillet or oven.
