Description

A golden, flaky pastry filled with sweet, caramelized apples, perfect for brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 3 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for dotting)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
  3. Peel and slice the apples, then toss them with lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Spread the apple mixture over the center of the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the apples, creating a rustic tart.
  6. Dot with butter on top of the apples.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce. Best served fresh.
