Description

A rich and creamy cheesecake combining chocolate and orange flavors for a show-stopping dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 8 oz Dark Chocolate
  • 2 whole Fresh Oranges (zest and juice)
  • 1.5 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 6 tbsp Unsalted Butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well-combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan.
  2. Bake the crust: Place the crust in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes until golden. Let it cool while you prepare the filling.
  3. Melt the chocolate: Chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
  4. Make the filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually mix in the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Then gently fold in the melted chocolate, orange juice, and zest.
  5. Combine and chill: Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula. Cover and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight for the best texture.
