Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • For the cream cheese glaze:
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the banana mixture.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are set.
  7. Whisk together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the cooled cookies.
