Description

Savory meatballs simmered in rich French onion soup, easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, finely chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until well mixed.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place the meatballs in the slow cooker, spreading them out evenly.
  4. Pour the French onion soup over the meatballs, covering them well.
  5. Cover and set your slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or to high for 3-4 hours, until the meatballs are thoroughly cooked.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.

Notes

Browning the meatballs in a skillet before adding them to the Crock Pot enhances the flavor. Experiment with seasonings for a personalized touch.
