Description

Delicious and addictive crispy bites made from tofu marinated in dill pickle juice, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu, pressed and drained
  • 1 cup dill pickle juice
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Place the tofu cubes in a bowl and cover them with dill pickle juice. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another bowl, add the flour.
  5. Once marinated, remove the tofu from the pickle juice. Coat each cube in flour, dip in water, and then roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, enough to submerge the tofu bites halfway.
  7. Fry the tofu cubes until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve warm and enjoy this crispy delight!

Notes

If you’re looking for gluten-free options, substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend and use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
