Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg yolk (optional, for richer filling)
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for dusting)
- Powdered sugar (for serving, optional)

- Mix the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk (if using) until smooth and well blended.
- Unroll the crescent dough onto a lightly floured surface. Press the seams together to create a solid sheet.
- Cut the dough into triangles or squares as desired.
- Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each piece of dough.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal well.
- Arrange the pastries on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the danishes to cool slightly. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or top with fresh fruit or preserves. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute with low-fat cream cheese. Brush with beaten egg before baking for a shiny finish.
