Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (e.g., penne or fettuccine)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a splash of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until it becomes fragrant.
- Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well-coated.
- Garnish with freshly chopped basil before serving.
Notes
For an even creamier sauce, add more cream or a touch of cream cheese. You can substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream for a vegan version.
