Description

A quick and delicious creamy tomato garlic pasta that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (e.g., penne or fettuccine)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until it becomes fragrant.
  3. Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy.
  5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well-coated.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped basil before serving.

Notes

For an even creamier sauce, add more cream or a touch of cream cheese. You can substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream for a vegan version.
