Description
A quick and comforting creamy pasta dish perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces bowtie pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika, combining well.
- Add the butter to the mixture, allowing it to melt before pouring in the beef broth and half and half. Stir and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the beef mixture, stirring gently to coat it in the sauce.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the mixture, stirring until it melts. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Remove from heat, and your dish is ready to serve!
Notes
For a lighter option, try using turkey, chicken, or sautéed mushrooms instead of beef.
