Description
A hearty and creamy beef pasta dish that’s quick to make and packed with protein.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (any type)
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup heavy cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh herbs like parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente, following package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the garlic: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Brown the beef: Add the ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Stir in the cream: Lower the heat and mix in the heavy cream or Greek yogurt, ensuring it’s thoroughly combined.
- Melt the cheese: Sprinkle in the shredded cheese, stirring until it’s fully melted and combined into the sauce.
- Combine with pasta: Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet and stir to coat it well with the creamy sauce.
- Serve: Dish out the creamy beef pasta while it’s hot and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For a lighter dish, consider using Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream. Add sautéed veggies for extra nutrition.
