Delightful stuffed jumbo pasta shells filled with a rich, creamy mushroom mixture, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- Jumbo pasta shells
- Mushrooms (button or cremini recommended)
- Garlic
- Cream cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Heavy cream
- Butter
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the chopped mushrooms and cook until they’re soft.
- In a bowl, combine the sautéed mushrooms with cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each pasta shell generously with the mushroom mixture.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of heavy cream and place the stuffed shells on top.
- Pour additional heavy cream over the shells, followed by a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the dish is golden and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Feel free to use a mix of mushrooms for more flavor, and experiment with different cheeses for the stuffing.
