Description

Deliciously rich dark chocolate filled doughnuts that are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate pastry cream (for filling)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until thoroughly mixed.
  2. Whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Carefully drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the doughnuts and drain them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  7. Allow the doughnuts to cool slightly, then fill each with chocolate pastry cream using a piping bag.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving.
