- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and well combined.
- Whisk together the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined—don’t overmix!
- Fold in the fresh blueberries, taking care not to smash them.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
