Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and well combined.
  4. Whisk together the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined—don’t overmix!
  6. Fold in the fresh blueberries, taking care not to smash them.
  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
