Description

A delicious twist on the classic banana bread with a sweet cinnamon swirl.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter until well-blended.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add sugar, the beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  5. Mix in the flour until there are no streaks of flour visible.
  6. Whisk together the ground cinnamon and brown sugar in a separate bowl.
  7. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  8. Add the remaining batter and finish with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
  9. Swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter using a knife.
  10. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Cool the bread before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or honey, and enjoy with coffee or tea!
