Description

Decadent dessert bars combining rich chocolate cake with creamy peanut butter, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg in a large mixing bowl. Stir until thoroughly mixed, then press it into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, peanut butter, 2 eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the peanut butter mixture over your chocolate base, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set and the center remains slightly jiggly.
  7. Allow the bars to cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

For serving, drizzle with melted chocolate or serve warm with ice cream. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
