- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- Reese’s peanut butter cups, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well blended.
- Add the softened butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until everything is combined but be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups to create pockets of peanut butter goodness in each cupcake.
- Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting with your favorite peanut butter frosting, if desired.
