Delicious chocolate chip peanut butter oatmeal bars that are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 13×9 baking pan with aluminum foil; spray with cooking spray.
- Combine the melted butter, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl; mix until smooth.
- Add the flour and oats gradually, mixing until well combined.
- Reserve a heaping cup of the oat mixture for later.
- Press the remaining oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- Mix the peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk in a separate bowl until smooth; pour over the baked crust.
- Crumble half of the reserved oat mixture over the peanut butter layer, then sprinkle with chocolate chips and the remaining oat mixture.
- Bake for another 25 minutes, until golden brown; let it cool completely before cutting.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
Notes
For a healthier version, consider using whole wheat flour or natural peanut butter.
