Description

Deliciously smoky and savory, Chicken Yakitori features tender chicken thighs marinated and grilled on skewers, perfect for any gathering or cozy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 1/4 cup mirin
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Mix soy sauce, sake, mirin, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade. Let soak for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for about 15 minutes if using them.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken and chopped green onions onto the skewers, alternating them for visual appeal.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until the chicken is cooked through and charred.
