Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pita bread or wraps for serving
  • Lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles for garnish
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  3. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for maximum flavor.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the marinated chicken on the grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  6. Prepare the garlic sauce by mixing yogurt, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl.
  7. Slice the cooked chicken into strips and serve warm in pita bread or wraps, drizzled with garlic sauce, and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.

Notes

For a lighter sauce, you can skip the mayonnaise. Marinating overnight enhances the flavor.
