Description

Soft and fluffy rolls filled with sweet cherry pie filling and topped with a creamy glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk the milk, melted butter, and egg in a separate bowl until well blended.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the surface.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into rolls.
  9. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract for the glaze.
  12. Drizzle the glaze on top of the warm rolls and serve.

Notes

For a variation, feel free to swap the cherry pie filling for your favorite fruit filling.
