Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (or 1 can of crescent rolls)
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg (for the egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for optional dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface or unroll the crescent rolls and pinch the seams together.
  3. Beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Cut the pastry into 4-inch squares and add spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture and cherry pie filling.
  5. Fold the corners of each square over the filling to form a Danish shape.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
