Description

A warm and aromatic cheesy garlic bread focaccia that’s perfect for any meal or gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk together warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Combine the flour and salt in a larger mixing bowl. Gradually add the yeast mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  8. Brush the garlic oil mixture generously over the dough, then sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and deliciously bubbly.
  10. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy every cheesy bite!
