- 2 cups warm milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 to 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Combine the warm milk and sugar, and sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it stand for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Mix in the melted butter and salt, followed by 2 cups of flour.
- Gradually add more flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, then generously spread it with caramel sauce. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans.
- Roll up the dough tightly and cut it into slices.
- Arrange the slices in a greased baking dish and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle with more caramel sauce just before serving.
