- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
- Balsamic glaze, for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- If you’re using homemade dough, roll it out on a floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking tray or pizza stone.
- Spread the ricotta cheese evenly across the dough, leaving a crust around the edges. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Arrange the fresh blackberries atop the ricotta. If you love cheesy flavors, sprinkle mozzarella over the fruit.
- Drizzle olive oil on top for an added layer of richness.
- Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden, crispy, and the cheese is bubbly.
- Once out of the oven, garnish with torn basil leaves. Optional: Drizzle with honey and balsamic glaze before slicing.
- Let it cool slightly before digging in!
