Description

A tantalizing twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring melting cheese and crunchy dill pickles between crispy, buttery bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough, whole grain, or classic white)
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or provolone)
  • 45 dill pickle slices
  • Butter for grilling
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place one slice of bread in it, butter side down.
  3. Layer a slice of cheese on the bread, then add 4-5 dill pickle slices on top of the cheese.
  4. Top it off with another slice of cheese, followed by the second slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
  5. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melting.
  6. Slice into triangles and serve!

Notes

Consider pairing it with fresh tomato soup or a simple green salad. For vegan options, use plant-based cheese and butter alternatives.
