Description

A delightful stir-fried dish featuring tender beef, vibrant vegetables, and perfectly cooked chow mein noodles, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 1 lb beef, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Start by cooking the chow mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain them and set aside.
  2. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, mix sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat the skillet: While the beef is marinating, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the beef: Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until it’s browned, then remove it from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Stir-fry the veggies: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they’re tender-crisp.
  6. Combine everything: Return the cooked noodles and beef to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish and serve: Just before serving, sprinkle with sliced green onions and enjoy hot.

Notes

Feel free to swap out the vegetables based on what you have on hand, like snow peas, bok choy, or zucchini.
