Description
A hearty and mouthwatering BBQ Brisket Melt Sandwich combines tender brisket with cheesy goodness, all wrapped in buttery, toasty bread.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs brisket
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
- Butter for grilling
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook your brisket: Start by preparing the brisket according to your chosen method: smoke it low and slow, slow cook it, or use a pressure cooker for quicker results.
- Shred and sauce: Once the brisket is cooked to perfection, shred it using two forks and mix it with the BBQ sauce.
- Prep your skillet: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Butter one side of a slice of bread.
- Layer it up: Place the buttered side down in the skillet, and start layering: add brisket, followed by a slice of cheese and top it with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill away: Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until the cheese is melted.
- Repeat for the remaining sandwiches.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Pair with coleslaw or pickles for a crunch. Sweet potato fries or potato chips make great sides.
