- 1½ cups mashed bananas (approximately 3 ripe bananas)
- ½ cup nut butter (such as almond or peanut butter)
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Combine the mashed bananas and nut butter in a large mixing bowl, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt until thoroughly mixed.
- Transfer the mixture to your lined baking pan, smoothing it out into an even layer.
- Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown and set.
- Cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
For optimal sweetness, use ripe bananas with brown spots. You can freeze individual bars for lasting freshness.
