- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Cream cheese frosting (for topping)
Instructions
- Combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Let this sit for about 5 minutes until it foams up.
- Stir in the melted butter, mashed bananas, and egg until everything is well mixed.
- Add in the flour and salt gradually, mixing until you form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for roughly 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm spot.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll the dough out into a rectangle, then spread it with your remaining melted butter.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar evenly over the butter.
- Tightly roll up the dough and slice it into uniform pieces.
- Arrange the slices in a greased baking dish and allow them to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then drizzle the cream cheese frosting over the top before serving!
