Ingredients

- 1 can (15 oz) tuna, drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 egg
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (for spicy mayo)
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (or to taste)
Instructions
- Add the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, and egg to a large mixing bowl.
- Throw in the chopped green onions, minced ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Mix everything together until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches wide.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry each patty for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Mix the mayonnaise with sriracha in a small bowl for your dipping delight.
- Serve the tuna cakes warm with the spicy mayo on the side.
Notes
Chill the mixture for 30 minutes before forming patties for better shape. Use neutral oils for frying.
