Description

A moist and flavorful cake packed with tender chunks of apple and optional nuts, drizzled with vanilla frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt cake pan generously.
  2. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a mixing bowl; set aside.
  3. Whisk together the sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth and well-blended in another bowl.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding until just combined.
  5. Incorporate the diced apples and nuts if you’re using them gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing out the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it carefully to a wire rack.
  9. Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth for the frosting.
  10. Drizzle the frosting over the top of the cooled cake before serving.
