- 2 large onions
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel the onions and slice them into 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick rings.
- Combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Beat the eggs until smooth in another bowl.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.
- Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the coated onion rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Lightly spray the onion rings with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Adjust the thickness of onion rings for extra crispiness. Use gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version.
