1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

2 tbsp olive oil

4 tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh thyme (optional)

1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak: Start by cutting the sirloin steak into bite-sized cubes. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they sear properly.
  • Sear the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Sear the steak bites for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Once seared, remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and the butter. Allow the butter to melt completely. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Combine Steak and Garlic Butter: Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter sauce. Add the fresh thyme, rosemary (if using), and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well until the steak is coated in the garlic butter sauce.
  • Serve: Once the steak bites are coated and heated through, remove them from the heat. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
